The 30-year old Nor-Cal native Brett Dennen has become one of Austin’s favorite musicians. Whether he plays at the Continental Club or at ACL, the crowds love him. I guess it also doesn’t hurt that he gets lots of airplay form the local radio station KGSR. Today he was once again introduced by Austin’s local music guru and KGSR host Andy Langer. It seemed that Brett’s show had to start an hour early because he had to fly off to New York for an appearance on the David Letterman show.
Brett’s performance was joyful. He loved interacting with the audience, (and that was mutual). He danced around and really seemed to have a great time on stage. However, it is the striking voice and lyrics that will really make you a Brett Dennen fan.
