AUSTIN, TX – OCTOBER 2, 2009. For those not familiar with Dr. Dog, his MySpace blurb sums it up best: “Dr. Dog is a musical band from the greater West Philadelphia area. We are interested in playing Boggle, three-part harmonies, slow dancing, the great outdoors, pizza parties, and diminished chords.” They performed on the large Dell stage and came through brilliantly. I particularly like the Dr’s vocals— textured and interesting—that sets him apart as no ordinary lead singer. As a photographer I also liked the colorful backdrop, it’s nice to give the stage some color.
