This was by far the one show I saw with the most energy! The moment Michael Franti walked on stage he grabbed the microphone and started singing, jumping, dancing and interacting with the audience in the MOST charismatic way I have ever seen.
At this point in the day, almost everyone was covered, to some degree, in mud. The beautiful grass covered park was turned into a giant mud puddle due to the previous day’s monsoon like rain storms. The 80-degree temperature and almost 100 percent humidity drenched people in sweat, but this did not dampen the crowd’s enthusiasm when Michael Franti jumped off the stage and walked over to the audience. His amazing blend of positive funk, reggae, jazz, folk, and rock was purely uplifting.
