Def Leppard, REO Speedwagon and Tesla sell out Austin360 Amphitheater in Austin, Texas
By Manuel Nauta
Def Leppard, REO Speedwagon and Tesla performed for 10,000 fans at the sold out Circuit Of The America’s Austin360 Amphitheater. After a week pf severe rain, the weather finally turned and fans came out in massive numbers to hear these rock-n-roll icons. Tesla opened the show followed by REO Speedwagon. As the sun set over the amphitheater after the first song, the perfectly lid stage was the backdrop for these “Hi Fidelity” rockers. There was no shortage of hits played from the Hi Fidelity album (1980). Up next was Def Leppard, the British rockers with front man Joe Elliott and supper buffed topless Phil Collen on guitar. These guys were the MTV go to music video pioneers in 1982. Although decades have passed and MTV is morphed into un-reality TV, Def Leppard still fills the stadiums and rocks as hard as ever!
