Red Sparows performed on the main Orange stage on day one of the festival. Their grand soundscapes were befitting the size of the stage they played. I don’t think this band has any 3 minute songs. A quick look at their MySpace shows that the song Like The Howling Glory comes in at a whopping 10 minutes. I loved the sound of the pedal steel guitar played by Greg Burns, it is haunting and gives the band and original sound. If you link Russian Circles, This Will Destroy You or The Calm Blue Sea you will love this band.
